The kit is designed to be used in a research setting for identifying and speciating yeasts from extracted DNA samples or directly using colony PCR. The MycArray™ Yeast ID test can be completed inapproximately 4 hours.
The kit is based on an asymmetric PCR amplification and target labelling with biotin-dUTP, hybridisation of the labelled single-stranded PCR product on a low density biochip and colorimetric detection using a dedicated reader.
Each array includes the following controls:
1. Fixed positional markers
2. Biotin markers
3. Amplification Control
The kit contains probes for the following species:

C. albicans, C. dubliniensis, C. famata, C. glabrata,
C. guilliermondii, C. kefyr, C. krusei, C. metapsilosis, C. parapsilosis, C. parapsilosis group, C. pelliculosa,C. rugosa, C. tropicalis
