The kit is designed to be used in a research setting for identifying and speciating yeasts from extracted DNA samples or directly using colony PCR. The MycArray™ Yeast ID test can be completed inapproximately 4 hours.
The kit is based on an asymmetric PCR amplification and target labelling with biotin-dUTP, hybridisation of the labelled single-stranded PCR product on a low density biochip and colorimetric detection using a dedicated reader.
Each array includes the following controls:
1. Fixed positional markers 2. Biotin markers 3. Amplification Control
The kit contains probes for the following species:
Candida species C. albicans, C. dubliniensis, C. famata, C. glabrata, C. guilliermondii, C. kefyr, C. krusei, C. metapsilosis, C. parapsilosis, C. parapsilosis group, C. pelliculosa,C. rugosa, C. tropicalis
Others S. cerevisiae, H. capsolatum, C. neoformans, R. mucliaginosa
