Gill obtained her PhD in radiochemistry, and worked for several years in the nuclear medicine/radiopharmaceutical industry before moving to the field of molecular diagnostics. From 1998 to 2003, Gill implemented quality, regulatory and clinical departments for a Toronto-based start up diagnostics company. From 2003 to 2008, Gill headed up regulatory and clinical affairs groups for Bayer Diagnostics in the US, completing successful product registrations in the USA, in Europe, and other regulated territories.
